Service Descriptions:

SGD’s services will be contracted to the Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) that will be established to own each solar power-producing facility. Whether the facility is owned by an SGD-Investor group, or by a corporation, government, or other third party, the following services are required for all projects and will be contracted between SGD and the Project LLC or other Project Owner.


Engineering & Planning:
Solar design: Feasibility and viability consultation; solar development planning; project design; solar equipment specifications and coordination; current inversion design.
Electrical engineering: Power collection; substation transformation and treatment; distribution and delivery systems; preparation of construction documents and permit documents.
Civil and Structural engineering: Site design and construction documents; structural building analysis and roofing design; soils, grading, water management design; applicable permit documents

Regulatory Management:
Utility process: Negotiation and fulfillment of Power Purchase Agreement; Interconnection process & fulfillment; Transmission process and fulfillment.
Local authorities: Local building and zoning applications and approvals; State water and land management applications and approvals.
State utility commission: NC Utility Commission application and approvals, or other state as required; Certification as “Qualified Facility”; Certification as a “Renewable Energy Facility”
Federal authorities: FedFederal authorities: Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) application & approvals; Certification as a “Renewable Energy Facility”

Project Management:
Coordinate all engineering documents and approvals; coordinate scheduling and procurement.
Cost Controls: Budgeting; Intermediate and final cost estimating; guaranteed maximum pricing; Bid documents and vendor/subcontractor contracts; equipment and subcontractor buy-out; project accounting.
Construction: Direct and manage all phases of construction: civil, structural, building, electrical, power delivery, equipment installation, controls, start-up process, and punch-list completion.
Quality Control: commissioning by thQuality Control: commissioning by third parties, inspections and testing, internal audit.

Operations and Maintenance:
Operations: Monitor daily operations from control center; assure power delivery to utility.
Regulatory: Maintain all inspections, certifications, licenses, data records.
Maintenance: Establish and fulfill regular maintenance and testing schedule; procure and install replacement parts and repairs; storm inspection and protection.

Financial Services:
Project Funding: Solicit and organize investor funding for solar projects; apply for and obtain debt financing for solar projects; establish solar projects as individual LLC entities
Real Estate Services: Identify and obtain rights to suitable properties for future solar projects; option and/or purchase properties for the solar project LLC entities.
Project Accounting: Run accounting services for each individual solar project LLC entity; keep books, balance sheet, profit and loss sheet, on accrual basis, arrange and make tax filings; keep all project financial records current.
Project Revenue Collection: Create billing and collect revenues on behalf of solar project LLC entities; make distributions to owners as required by LLC agreement.
